Mystery Product #2: Shiseido Eau de Carmin de Luxe

Here's another Shiseido product I can't find much information in the internet
This is called Shiseido Eau de Carmin de Luxe

I bought this myself in Taiwan before, like the Shiseido Acne Lotion, it's also similar to Mario Badescu's drying lotion and it smells similar too. Perhaps this might be an acne treatment too?

I don't know why I snapped this up, but I think it's because of the pretty frosted glass bottle =p

Here's the information at the back.

  1. It's something like a toner. Pour on cotton pad and apply on face. Helps to improve skin texture, especially after sun exposure :)

  3. Dear, it kinda looks fake. Where'd you buy it?

  4. @Diega, maybe its not fake. Just maybe part of the productline that's not fully advertised or sold worldwide. Some products or items are being distributed on a small scale or on an exclusive basis to a specific market or area.
Shiseido carries only a few items here in my area, compared to Taiwan. It's not like Chelle to buy it off on sidewalks, so maybe its not fake.

  5. Out of curiousity, I zoomed in on the above label in chinese. Here's what I found:
It is indeed a Shiseido product. Authorized by Shiseido Japan for manufacturing by Shiseido Taiwan (which means there is a possibility its sold in Taiwan only), on the last line is supposedly the complete address of Shiseido Taiwan.
The product is used as toner, specially if you will be going to the beach as it mentioned sun exposure.
Hope this helps you, Chelle! Kasi eh, read the details on the label. haaa...

  6. @Diega hi Diega dear! ^.^ no it's not fake, I bought it in Shiseido Taiwan... There are a lot of local Shiseido products exclusively made for Taiwan kasi... What my cousin said it's true, Japan authorizes Shiseido to create products to distribute locally. I bought my eye lash curler for NT$100 and when I verified it with Shiseido Philippines in Glorietta they said it's authentic =)

  8. Thanks for including a picture of the ingrediants :) i was wondering what Eau de carmin was for, and ive had a bottle sitting in my washroom for the longest time.

And what i found out was that, Zinc Oxide and Iron Oxide together create Calamine which is the same ingrediant in M. Badescu's drying lotion; hence the both these products help reduce redness, swelling and itching.
