Comfort Food at Conti's Bakeshop and Restaurant

Comfort food for the rainy season! Conti's always has that heartwarming cozy interior that's perfect for the rainy night. Ordered Symphony salad with tomato vinaigrette and Chicken ala Kiev.

The symphony salad with tomato vinaigrette tastes so so, the vegetables are fresh and crisp.

Chicken ala kiev is a block buster hit! The photo on the menu is really really tempting that me and my baby brother ordered the same thing. The chicken is crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside courtesy of the herbs and butter stuffed inside. Creamy sauce blankets the chicken is perfect. This is a really flavorful dish that's perfect with garlic rice and buttered vegetables.

Thoughts and Prayers for Habagat 2013 and Tropical Storm Maring Victims

On a serious note, my thoughts and prayers go out to those who are affected by the habagat enhanced by the tropical storm Maring(international name Trami). I pray especially for the homeless and stray animals. I can still remember the habagat last August 2012. My own workplace was totally destroyed by flood, I was truly traumatized by the situation but one year later, we're still alive and kicking! Don't lose hope, learn from the situation, become wiser, pray and be a blessing to others.
