L'oreal Double Extension Waterproof Mascara

This is one of my old mascaras that I just saw standing on my mug make-up holder and I thought of doing a review of this. I bought this at Watson's in Mall of Asia for P795 or P895 if I'm not mistaken.

L'oreal Double Extension Waterproof Mascara is one of the double ended mascara wherein you apply the white base coat first which is fortified with Ceramide and after applying the white base you proceed to apply the real mascara which is the black end.

I used to love this before I found other better mascaras in the market, especially the ones produced by our very own Asian market. I used to love using this when I want some special oomph to my lashes.

When I apply the white base coat, I let it dry first before putting on the black mascara because if not the tendency is that the white formula would transfer to the black mascara spoolie so it is not a good thing unless you want to put on grayish color of mascara on your lashes.

When you apply on the black mascara, you would visibly see how the lashes are lengthened up and volumized thanks to the white Ceramide base and I love how dramatic the lashes woud look.

However if you coat more than how much it could hold chances are it would clump and it would feel very heavy on the lashes; if your lashes doesn't hold the curl so much (like me), your lashes would simply droop down. This happens to me all the time because I feel like the dramatic effect is not enough because of my short and sparse lashes, but sometimes in life we have to be contented on what we have =) One observation is that the white formula expires quickly than the black one.

I like the packaging because it looks unique unlike other mascaras but one of my question is how to store because if you store this upright the formula for the other end would go down and if you're running low on this, chances are you might not be able to get the most of the product which happened to me and the formula just got bad and now it's just sitting on my dresser as a display.
